Icicle Drop

I was being pelted by drops from the icicle as I was trying to take pictures of the kids sledding. I began to notice how the drops were like a lens the way they captured the scene beyond, with the greatest clarity when the drop was a perfect sphere. So started my 45 minute effort to try to capture the drop in a shot. I had to hand hold the camera while balancing on a plastic chair, but I finally achieved the shot I was looking for with the trees beautifully and symmetrically reflected in the drop. I am often accused of creating this shot in photoshop. Not true!
